Dirk worked on a series of Belgian television food programmes called Krokant, and started the radio program Bistro & Co, a show incorporating talk and tips on cooking and gastronomy. He has written six cookery books, La Cuisine des Belges being the best known, and is now editor in chief at Ambiance Magazine, the leading food magazine in Belgium.
