Lisa has worked as a journalist and editor for more than 10 years. After earning a BA in biology from Reed College in Oregon, Lisa worked as a journalist in Cairo, and edited a newspaper in Aspen Colorado. She lived in London for eight years, where she wrote more than 50 non-fiction books, specializing in science and religion. While in London, Lisa received an MA in Political Geography from Kings College.
Lisa has lived in Dubai since July 2007, where she worked as Editor of Caterer Middle East Magazine and as a freelance journalist. Lisa has a lifelong love of cooking and brewing, and has worked as a restaurant manager in California, as well as a science teacher. She is particularly fascinated with molecular gastronomy. Lisa has one child and her non-culinary interests include sailing, climbing and tinkering with anything science related.
