Our thoughts are with the families of the chefs and the entire Fat Duck team

Two chefs from Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck have tragically been killed in a road accident in Hong Kong. Jorge Herrera and Carl Lindgren, both senior members of The Fat Duck team, died after a taxi they were travelling in was crushed by a bus. The chefs were described as being  uniquely talented and much loved members of the one-time World's Best Restaurant.

A spokesperson for the Bray restaurant shared:  "They were both senior members and great and dear friends.  Two uniquely talented young chefs that were loved by everyone who worked with them.  They will be sadly and deeply missed." Heston and his team were in Hong Kong cooking at The Mandarin Oriental hotel. Our thoughts are with the families of the chefs and the entire Fat Duck team at this extremely sad time.
