We can’t tell you who is coming yet, because that would give the game away! But we can tell you that we are expecting our highest turnout yet of the world’s best chefs this year on 26th April for the big night. So if you have a reservation at one of the world’s best restaurants on 26th or 27th April, it may be that chef has taken leave of the kitchen!
The S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2010 will be unveiled this year in the magnificent surroundings of the Guildhall in the heart of the city of London.

Guildhall, London
On arrival there will be a Slow Food Producers Market for our guests to sample some of the UK’s highest quality ingredients. Not only will these producers get the opportunity to talk to the world’s most revered and celebrated chefs but they will also have a unique chance to meet people in the food industry from all over the world. We expect around 200 journalists at the awards, and another 200 chefs and restaurateurs – so no pressure there then! Working with Slow Food UK, and with Lavazza, who have kindly sponsored the market, we are delighted to have this chance to showcase some of the best traditional British produce from around the country. We will shortly be listing all 18 producers here shortly.

Neils Yard Dairy will be present in the Slow Food Market
Rhubarb Food Design have the enviable task of creating canapés for the Awards reception and the Awards after party, whilst our friends at Bacardi Brown-Forman have created a number of cocktails to honour a selection of the World’s Best Chefs.
We will be making a selection of video clips from this year’s awards available from Tuesday 27th April. The list will also be published in full on this website from around 10pm on 26th April.
