An inspired combination of the traditional and the contemporary is an apt description of BiCE’s Italian cuisine. It’s a formula that has won the prestigious restaurant plenty of awards including ‘Best Italian Restaurant’ and ‘Best Business Lunch’, but it has also won a loyal clientele. They flock here for the Mediterranean charm and warm hospitality, as well as the clean, contemporary design and faithfully rendered food. And they linger to enjoy the the gentle melodies of resident pianist Ima, while the sun sets slowly over the Corniche.

Yvan Marclay

Food runs in the Marclay family. Chef Yvan’s father was also a distinguished chef, and by the age of seven, young Yvan had already established an interest in cooking. He began his apprenticeship in his native Switzerland, and completed his training in a family hotel before finally joining the Hilton Hotel Group in 1991. Since then, he’s worked in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, but he’s never lost the passion for food that he learnt in the family home.
