Haus Der Musik (or House of Music) is located in the former Palais of Archduke Charles in the heart of Vienna’s first district, and displays new and innovative approaches to the subject of music over a total surface area of 5,000 square meters. It is this amazing setting that provides a sonic backdrop to the rooftop restaurant Cantino.

Here you will be treated to delicious tapas, mediterranean meat and fish dishes and an incomparable view over one of Vienna’s most famous landmarks, St. Stephan’s Cathedral.

Richard RAINER was born and raised in Austria. When leaving school he joined the famous chefs de cuisine in Zell am See (Austria) and Bad Grießbach (Germany). Between 1996 to 1998 he worked in the kitchens of Restaurant Fromagerie, New Jersey, USA, where he spent time learning and honing his craft.

He returned to Austria and worked as Sous-Chef in the Osteria A Tavola and in the famous Restaurant Novelli in Vienna. Since 2001 Richard has been an excellent Chef de Cuisine in Restaurant Cantino in The House of Music. His distinctive flair and passion for refined mediterranean cuisine has built up an incredibly large, and lotyal customer base over the last 10 years.
