Superstar chef Alain Ducasse holds an incredible 21 Michelin stars, and his restaurant at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée is the Marie Antoinette of Parisian dining experiences – and a 50 Best regular. The vegetables are grown in the Queen’s Garden at Versailles and served in a grand play on the Hall of Mirrors: curved seating, white leather, reflective chrome and thousands of shimmering crystals overhead. The three menus are designed around fish, vegetables and grains, with Brittany langoustines and golden caviar wild prawns with white asparagus and rosehips, and turbot with celery and seasonal wakame among dishes diners can expect.
