Dan B – La Table de Ventabren
Restaurant Dan B opened as La Table de Ventabren in 2004, offering idyllic views of the Étang de Berre lagoon and surrounding Provençal countryside. Now rehoused in the old stone building beneath the terrace of the original restaurant, the spectacular dining room is bookended by three-metre-high glass panels which, in good weather, are opened to allow alfresco dining, with all the action of the open kitchen reflected in the stainless-steel ceiling. Native chef Dan Bessoudo uses local ingredients in dishes reflective of his training in Stockholm: think artisan breads, seasonal game and a superb blue cheese crème brûlée.
