Hélène joined The World’s 50 Best Restaurants and The World's 50 Best Bars in 2016, after moving from her native France to London. A brand builder with extensive experience in marketing and communication, Hélène has held international roles in the beauty and hospitality sectors, including as strategic marketing director for Relais & Châteaux and publishing director of the premium gastronomy magazine 3 Étoiles. When she isn’t scuba diving or filming sharks in remote locations, true foodie Hélène can usually be found eating out with her fellow gastronomes.
William is the Group Editor of The World's 50 Best Restaurants and The World's 50 Best Bars. He has been a journalist and editor for two decades, spanning business-to-business and consumer magazines, as well as national newspapers. He is a former editor of style magazine Arena and continues to write and comment on food and restaurants in the UK and international media. He is privileged to have eaten in a healthy proportion of The World's 50 Best Restaurants, though the experience hasn’t been so healthy for his waistline.
Tiago joined The World’s 50 Best Restaurants team in 2016 after moving to London from the sunny Algarve in Portugal. A marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience, both in agencies and client side, Tiago has led international fashion projects and delivered unforgettable experiential events to luxury brands. As part of this team he fulfils his passion for cooking and discovering new fine dining experiences around the world.
Roger joined The World’s 50 Best portfolio after The World’s 50 Best Bars became part of William Reed Business Media in 2017. Roger was the Commercial Director for hospitality, the wine and spirits magazine and events at Drinks International. He has over 10 years of experience in marketing and sales in the publishing sector and played a key role in the creation of The World’s 50 Best Bars brand. He has previously held roles in the aviation, hospitality and drink sectors. Roger is originally from Barcelona.
Laura is responsible for all content across The World’s 50 Best Restaurants and The World's 50 Best Bars, including video, websites, live event coverage and the #50BestTalks thought-leadership series. After working for many years as a financial journalist, Laura joined the 50 Best team in 2014 with a view to combining her three main passions: food, travel and writing. Laura has a soft spot for Latin America and has lived in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Ireland. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and is also a qualified translator.
Emer joined the 50 Best team all the way from Canada, home to hockey and poutine. She began as an entertainment journalist, weaving her way through advertising copywriting and on to the wonderful world of social media. Her expertise in the latter is put to use through all of The World's 50 Best Restaurants and The World's 50 Best Bars platforms and she is charging forward with exciting new marketing plans. When not immersed in all things 50 Best, she pursues her passion for film, food and travel.
A long-serving member of the William Reed Hospitality team, Rikki has worked on business events across the portfolio, from the UK's National Restaurant Awards and Publican Awards to international study tours in Copenhagen, Cannes and Chicago. After nine years helping to organise The World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards, she now joins the team full-time to manage the global 50 Best events programme, which includes Latin America and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants and The World’s 50 Best Bars.
Kate is responsible for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants and The World’s 50 Best Bars partnerships portfolios. She has a diverse background working on corporate events and international food and wine festivals, having lived and worked in New Zealand for two years. Kate holds an ESA Diploma in Sponsorship, allowing her to help 50 Best’s partners leverage their campaigns according to industry best practice. She has travelled the globe, making sure to indulge her love of local cuisine along the way.
Tommy is 50 Best’s first in-house video producer, bringing with him 10 years’ experience in video production and marketing, ranging from live action to motion graphics and CGI. Having managed projects for clients across film, fashion and events, he now embarks on a new challenge to power 50 Best’s fast-expanding film output. Tommy manages all video production, helping a global audience to access the visceral gastronomic world and to engage with the raw passion, artistic flair and engineered precision that live within the bars and restaurants of the 50 Best family.
A wordsmith by trade and a self-confessed volleyball addict, Giulia joined the 50 Best content team in 2017, supporting Laura Price on website, video and bar and restaurant liaison. Having studied communications in her native Italy as well as Spain and the UK, she settled in London to dive into the world of digital content. She thinks she has mastered the fine art of reading and cooking at the same time. She brings to 50 Best a pinch of authentic Italian passion and a peculiar love of grammar.
Persia is responsible for managing the #Worlds50Best restaurants and #50BestBars social platforms. Supporting Emer Schlosser, she creates content whilst building and maintaining relationships with the wider 50 Best community, including TasteHunters. In her spare time you’ll find her exploring foodie spots and sipping on cocktails around the globe, getting creative in the kitchen or simply scrolling through her Instagram on the lookout for the latest gourmet news.
Rula works across all events in the 50 Best portfolio, supporting Rikki Mudie. Previously part of the William Reed Exhibitions team, she has worked on UK events including The Restaurant Show, Farm Shop and Deli Show and The Bar and Pub Show. She now looks forward to expanding her events repertoire further afield and is particularly excited about Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants. Rula is half Greek, half Arabic and raised in the UK – a perfect fit for a truly international team.
Tim is the Managing Director of the Hospitality Division of William Reed Business Media, and has overall responsibility for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants series. Tim also oversees Restaurant magazine, The Morning Advertiser, Big Hospitality and the MCA Report.
