For nearly a century, Rutini Wines has been a synonym of quality and innovation in Argentina. Its founder Felipe Rutini started planting vineyards in 1885, and today the winery continues to lead the way in combining legacy and cutting-edge technology to produce outstanding wines.
Rutini became a pioneer by planting the first vineyard in Gualtallary within the Uco Valley, and now owns 400 hectares of privileged terroirs in this region. This gives the wines not only versatility but extraordinary potential amongst soil conditions, with altitudes between 1,050 and 1,200 meters above sea level.
Mariano Di Paola, Rutini’s Chief Winemaker, is renowned internationally and has been recognized by wine magazine Decanter as one of the top 30 winemakers in the world. Rutini’s wine has also been acclaimed by leading wine critics, achieving more than fifty scores above 90 points.
The winery was the first in Argentina to incorporate an optical grape selector and has 8 different tanks for fermentation: conical stainless steel tanks, roll fermenters and unique diamond-shaped tanks. It has also a bioreactor to reproduce indigenous yeast, a climate-controlled barrel cellar with a capacity for 6,000 French and American oak barrels, and a special sparkling wine project to produce 400,000 bottles per year.
Felipe Rutini’s vision and pioneering work has helped put Argentina on the world map as a high class wine producer and positioned Rutini Wines as one of the country’s top luxury brands dedicated to consistently create superb quality wines.
