In the fifth and final instalment of the #50BestTalks: Food Forward series, Eleven Madison Park co-owners Daniel Humm and Will Guidara speak about going back to basics with deliciousness and graciousness.

It was a slightly hostile and unaccommodating line at the bottom of a restaurant's menu that triggered something in Daniel Humm. Until then, he had always felt the pull that every chef feels to make his dishes look like works of art, but the line "if you can't find anything you like, go somewhere else" helped him realise that the guest's enjoyment of the meal must come before all else.

Speaking at the #50BestTalks: Food Forward event in Barcelona, part of the celebrations for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 15th Anniversary, presented by Miele, Humm and his co-owner and business partner Will Guidara talked about their learnings at Eleven Madison Park and moving on to the restaurant's next chapter – their EMP Summer House pop-up in the Hamptons. They also spoke about the fundamental values of graciousness and deliciousness that helped them reach No.1 in The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2017.
