Playful sibling to a Singapore legend

Cosmo Pony is the first overseas bar from Singapore's Jigger & Pony Group and their Indonesian collaborators The Union Group – a partnership that unites two of Southeast Asia's most decorated F&B names. Located within the Grand Hyatt Jakarta, the space draws inspiration from mid-century lounges with marble, brass and warm textures. It's sophisticated but not stiff, social but not showy, and feels more like an evening salon than a hotel bar. The vibe is shaped by General Manager Silvio Daniele, formerly of Gibson and Jigger & Pony in Singapore.

Its sophomore menu Cocktail Power reads like a cocktail-zine – stylish, conceptual and deeply rooted in Jakarta. Signature drinks include the Tequila Vesper, where tequila takes the place of vodka, paired with fortified wine, coconut water and smoked Nocellara olives, and Ugly Bananas, a whisky sour riff made from overripe fruit and banana peel jelly. There's storytelling in every sip, from the artwork to the flavours. Cosmo Pony also highlights agave spirits through a section titled Today, Tomorrow, Tequila, tapping into Indonesia's growing appetite for mezcal and tequila. Only months old, it already feels like a local institution in the making.
