Attaboy
New York
Re-Entry
Attaboy continues to stake its place in New York cocktail history. Housed in the former space of Milk & Honey, its unmarked metal door is a trademark of this iconic, cavernous and low-lit speakeasy owned by Sam Ross and Michael McIlroy. Enter for a bespoke experience, with no menus being a feature of the bar. Simply describe your drink preferences, perhaps answer a few questions, and the bartenders will create a cocktail tailored to your liking. Or, order one of its signatures, as it's the birthplace of famous classics such as the Paper Plane, Penicillin and Greenpoint.
The space has fortunately expanded beyond its notoriously trim capacity of 25, having doubled in size in December of 2025 and now featuring two bar tops instead of one. This allows for limited reservations, pop-ups, private events and cocktail classes – all while keeping the original feel of the bar intact, thanks to the second bar top space being a mirror of the first. Combined with the history of Milk & Honey, this cocktail space is entering its 25th year, making it a bonafide setting of the American craft cocktail renaissance.
