Tyrrell’s
New South Wales, Australia
A founding member of Australia’s prestigious First Families of Wine collective, the estate founded by British immigrant Edward Tyrrell in 1858 spearheaded Hunter Valley winemaking and is still going strong. Focusing on age-worthy Semillons in particular, from carefully identified plots of land, tastings range from introductions to the range to vertical comparisons of the famous VAT 1 cuvée, the ‘Sacred Sites Experience’ introducing you to the vineyards behind iconic bottles before you taste them, with the option of meeting the family too. Bookings, unsurprisingly, are essential.
