Set within a classic Australian farmstead, Tedesca is a seriously elevated take on a restaurant with rooms. Only open for lunch service, from Friday to Monday, chef Brigitte Hafner has created the restaurant of her dreams, based on the Italian concept of Agriturismo. Ingredients are locally sourced (often from the property's own biodynamically-farmed vegetable patch) and cooked over a wood-fired grill, with an emphasis on cooking with whole animals to create an ever-changing set menu. As you might have guessed, sustainability is a core value here, further demonstrated by the filtered rainwater served in the restaurant. Tedesca only seats 30 guests, so tables fill up long in advance – we'd definitely advise combining your visit with an overnight stay in either the main house or the self-contained Glasshouse, if only for the breakfast served in the restaurant each morning...
