A traditional Thai restaurant in Porto Alegre’s leafy Rio Branco neighbourhood, Koh Pee Pee has been a favourite with locals since 1989. In a low-lit dining room equipped with authentic Thai tableware and art, the restaurant serves all the popular Thai dishes like chicken satay skewers and tom yum soup. From Monday to Thursday, there’s a good-value three-course menu, while the extensive à la carte offers a great range of meat, seafood and vegetarian Thai dishes. Cocktails are also a highlight, with Brazilian fruits and spirits adding a twist to drinks such as the Royal Thai with vodka and mango juice, or the Sawarot, with rum, passionfruit juice, palm sugar and lime. Koh Pee Pee also caters well to gluten-free diners.
