Cais

São Paulo, Brazil

Small but perfectly-formed, Cais is a gloriously versatile space with a selection of kitchen counter seating, intimate booths, bar stools and even a charming, decked dining terrace. The menu is a similar affair: simple but effective. Guests can opt for a plate of tuna with fennel, olives and pistachio, a cheese and caramelised onion-stuffed empanada or go all-out and order the ever-changing four-course tasting menu, showcasing the kitchen's favourite dishes of the day. Chef Adriano de Laurentiis' devotion to fish and seafood is evident and the menu will always feature a grilled catch of the day - an elegant demonstration of both the chefs' skills and the quality of the produce. When it comes to drinks, there's an array of natural, organic and biodynamic wines, plus both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails.
