Tan Tan is a seriously cool underground bar, bringing a touch of Japanese bar culture to São Paulo. The interior is all angles and hard surfaces – think wood, hammered metal and granite, and the food is a delicious mix of noodles, dumplings and deep-fried drinking food like katsu sandos. Cocktails are inventive and flavour-led, with house creations including the Curupira, which mixes gin, Cambuci sparkling wine, mint and Brazilian vanilla, or the Dr No, which blends run with dry vermouth, green mate and orange bitters.
