Mil948 Cocktail Lounge is historic in a couple of ways. Firstly, it was the premier cocktail bar to open in Costa Rica, and secondly the venue is set within the former home of President Pepe Figueres. That doesn't mean that you can expect po-faced reverence when you visit though, as this place is a whole lot of fun, whilst offering friendly and knowledgeable service to its guests. The cocktail menu is self-assured and made up of only 13 house drinks, such as the Rosemary Mango Julep, which mixes American whiskey, mango tea-infused honey, exotic honey vinegar and garnished with green mango flakes.
