Stylised suites and sustainability go hand-in-hand at this hotel in the Danish capital, formerly home to the Central Post & Telegraph Head Office. The boutique hotel opened in 2020 and received a prestigious Green Key for its masterful restoration of the century-old building, proving that luxury can align with sustainability. Designers tapped into contemporary Nordic aesthetics for the rooms, which feature plush headboards, neutral colour schemes and earthy accents. Standout suites, however, include double-storey lofts connected by a spiral staircase, and the Earth Suite crafted from recycled materials such as crushed bricks. Danish brand Shamballa Jewels, meanwhile, adds its glitzy touch to two of the suites and the lively, light-filled courtyard. In keeping with the eco ethos, leftovers and surplus ingredients are creatively upcycled into new dishes at the restaurant, and a year-round rooftop pool is heated using the hotel’s excess energy.
