The Galapagos Islands are a highly protected hive of biodiversity, with just three per cent of the archipelago’s land permitted for private use. Contemporary architecture stands in stark comparison to the lush forestry on which the lodge resides, but its modern design featuring lava stone, LED lights and solar panels has ecological benefits.
