Sachi is a masterclass in elegance. Its dining room is effortlessly glamorous, sporting vibrant floral displays and ornate light fixtures throughout. The ace up its sleeve, however, is its roof terrace, a rarity in the city, with unparalleled views over historic Giza. Across its elegant indoor and outdoor eating areas, expect a smörgåsbord of dishes, cherry-picked from a global palate to work in tandem with the light and airy ambience. Think delicate layers of octopus carpaccio from the Mediterranean and chateaubriand served with an abundance of roasted vegetables. Its signature dish, a plate of slow-cooked ribs with a nutty pistachio miso, is a must-order. Its sushi and raw fish offering are also equally noteworthy, boasting a range of maki rolls and Peruvian ceviche. Don’t skip the drinks here, either. Created by Walid Merhi, known for his work at Beirut’s lauded Ferdinand Gastro Pub, cocktails here are creative and fun. Savour a shinko frosted martini made with gin, vermouth and “endless possibilities”.
