Moët & Chandon
Épernay, France
- No.57 The World's 50 Best Vineyards 2025
Owned by luxury goods giant LVMH, Moët & Chandon has been bringing its signature sparkle to Epernay since 1743. Ahead of the game, the brand was among the first to create a prestige cuvée, Dom Pérignon, in 1921, which wasn't commercially released until 1936. Today, in addition to its flagship Cuvée Brut Impérial and Ice Impérial, Moët makes a quartet of rosés, vintage expressions, sweet drop nectar and Icon Wine Collection Impériale Création No 1, all of which can be enjoyed at the house's headquarters, which boasts a bar serving champagne cocktails, old and rare vintages and moreish bar bites. If you're keen for a deep dive into the maison's history, book a place on its Terroir Treasures tour, where you can roam through its vineyards and expansive chalk cellars, and try a selection of its cuvées.
