Domaine Faiveley
Burgundy, France
- No.59 The World's 50 Best Vineyards 2025
Now in the capable hands of the seventh generation, Domaine Faiveley – one of the jewels of Burgundy's Nuits-Saint-Georges sub-region on the Côtes des Nuits, is run by brother-and-sister duo Erwan and Eve Faiveley, who take their role as custodians seriously. Having celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2025, Domaine Faiveley lets terroir do the talking when it comes to its wines, hand-sorting its grapes then transferring them to wooden vats where they undergo a gentle pressing followed by a period of ageing in French oak. Private tours offer burgundy lovers a deep dive into the Faiveley's prized terroirs and winemaking practices, culminating in a tasting of up to five wines. If you're feeling flush book the Vinothèque experience, which includes a tour and tasting of four Grand Cru wines. Proceeds go to two charities, including the Rodin Museum. Keep an eye out for an original Rodin bronze within the estate's grounds.
