The 90-seater Francis Mallmann at Château La Coste – his first in Europe – is no exception. Located on the grounds of a contemporary art park and organic winery, Mallman’s hacienda-style dining room features an abundance of blonde wood alongside monochromatic floor tiles. Dishes marry fine French produce with smoky Argentinian flavours: Mediterranean fish roasted in a clay oven, local vegetables cooked ‘Rescoldo’ style (buried in ashes), and meat seared to perfection à la plancha.
