One of the new generation of Korean steak houses, Si Jin is a sophisticated proposition and ideal for special occasions. Quietly luxurious, the modernist dining room features stone tables with central barbecue pits where guests can finish cooking both dry- and wet-aged meats alongside delectable sharing plates including Wagyu beef tartare flavoured with nori and topped with caviar, Balinese chicharrón with jalapeño Ssamjang, vinegar and octopus from Jawa Timur alongside gochujang aioli with nori and a piquant mojo verde. Chef Joel Lim Si Jin's training under the godfather of beef, Wolfgang Puck, at his Singapore outpost of The Cut comes through in the steak menu, which includes hand-picked cuts from Japan, Australia, the USA and even Sumatra with wagyu beef sitting alongside Black Angus, many taken from older cows for fuller flavour before being aged for up to 60 days.
