Arguably one of the best restaurants in Dublin, Greenhouse offers excellent cooking in a classic-yet-relaxed dining room cheered by turquoise fabrics. Chef Mickael Viljanen is Finnish, and there's a cleanliness and purity to his cooking that allows seasonal Irish produce to take centre stage. Strong acidic and sweet flavours running through dishes – such as preserved lemon, seaweed condiment and poached meringue – nod to traditional Finnish recipes, as does the delicate presentation, yet this is boundary-defying cooking. The set lunch menu is particularly good value and the petit four with coffee unmissable.
