Adare Manor

Limerick, Ireland

Prepare for awe-inspiring scenery, endless activities and a slice of history at this restored neo-gothic mansion occupying 340 hectares of beautifully manicured parkland in the west of Ireland. Formerly the seat of aristocrats Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl, today the manor house is better known for its championship 18-hole golf course. Redesigned by Tom Fazio in 2015, the course combines show-stopping scenery with state-of-the-art technology, and has previously hosted the Irish Open – with the Ryder Cup to follow in 2027. Adare Manor has plenty to please beyond its fairways, however, with the estate’s woodland, French walled gardens and medieval ruins forming the backdrop for activities including axe-throwing, archery, falconry, horseriding and clay pigeon shooting – plus world-class indoor padel courts, a movie screening room and whisky tastings when you need to warm up or shelter from Irish weather. After a day’s adventuring, guests can then retreat to the mansion for restorative spa treatments, quintessential afternoon tea, or award-winning dining at the Oak Room. Expect to brush shoulders with VIP guests, families and wedding parties alike.
