A rambling villa on the volcanic island of Ischia in the Gulf of Naples that used to belong to the chef’s grandparents, Danì Maison is set among fragrant Mediterranean gardens filled with sculptures. Nino Di Costanzo’s cooking is rooted in research, creativity and respect for the raw ingredients and culinary traditions of Campania. A series of tasting menus are built around themes such as ‘tradition and territory’ and ‘yesterday, today and tomorrow’. The excellent wine cellar boasts a wide choice of champagnes as well as lesser-known regional pours from across Italy.
