Azienda Agricola Arianna Occhipinti

- No.78 The World's 50 Best Vineyards 2025
Biodynamic winemaker Arianna Occhipinti is one of Sicily's brightest stars. She shot to fame after appearing in Stanley Tucci's Searching for Italy, but has long been admired within wine circles for her bight and lively expressions of frappato, nero d'avola and cerasuolo di vittoria – the island's only DOCG – that allow the fruit to be the star of the show. She founded Azienda Agricola Arianna Occhipinti in 2004 in the sun‑drenched hills of Vittoria, in southern Sicily's Ragusa province, with a single hectare of vines, which has grown into a 40-hectare estate surrounded by olive and fruit trees. Extend your visit by booking into private villas Casa Pietra or Casa Grande within Occhipinti's new hospitality project, Chaza in Monti Iblei, which come fully stocked with jams, olive oils, pasta and fruit juices from the Occhipinti pantry. While there you can explore Arianna's winery and cellars, and taste through her latest vintages.
