Chef Gennaro Esposito learned from the best, having worked under Alain Ducasse at both Louis XV restaurant in Monte Carlo and the Plaza Athenée in Paris, before opening his own restaurant in a medieval tower in his home town. The restaurant's hillside position affords it spectacular views of the sea, especially on the terrace, overlooking sandy beaches. An á la carte menu is available alongside six-, eight- and 12-course tasting menus, informed by both Espositio's fine dining experience and its location on the Amalfi coast. His distinctive dishes have earned the restaurant recognition the world over and include spaghetti with sea urchins, asparagus juice and sea fennel alongside regional Laticauda lamb, caramelised pear, wild chicory and black truffle plus a dessert of spiral cannoli with chocolate, cherry and vanilla compote.
