Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi

Tokyo, Japan

Bringing an injection of swagger to the top six floors of the Otemachi One Tower in Tokyo’s financial district, the Four Seasons draws upon the group's key tenets to deliver a luxury lifestyle hotel at the top of its game. The Jean-Michel Gathy-outfitted design renders a feeling of Japanese zen throughout. As the lift to the lobby opens, guests are greeted by a water installation and knockout city vistas from floor-to-ceiling windows. Indeed, from many rooms, the views of Mount Fuji and the gardens of the Imperial Palace are unrivalled. Bedrooms reveal spa-like bathrooms backed by rich neutral colourways. It's well-known in the hotel game that Four Seasons’ beds are some of the best in the business – each property is kitted out out with the same oversized mattresses – so you’d be forgiven for lingering longer. It’s worth striking out though, to discover the incredible spa with its Issey Miyake-inspired installation, sofa-dotted pool and soul-soothing rituals. Beyond, a rooftop terrace beckons on clement days, and guests are hard-pushed to pick between the French finery served at Est, the craft pours at Virtù and lovely low-key Italian spot, Pigneto. Best be safe and try them all.
