Housed within several rooms of a beautiful and eclectic mansion, Rosetta sees chef Elena Reygadas – who was named Latin America’s Best Female Chef in 2014 – revamp traditional Mexican dishes with Italian infleunce. The sun-drenched patio is a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the street, with its foliage and hand-painted murals. The a la carte approach focuses on shareability, allowing a diverse array of dishes to sample from for tables of every size and dietary preference. Crowd avourites include corn tamale with celeriac, sea bass with samphire and white mole with fermented carrots. The on-site bakery specialises in sourdough, and partnerships with local breweries are often forged to enable unfussy yet memorable drink pairings. For a refreshing non-alcoholic option, the sweet and sour red Plum Lemonade from Puebla should not be missed.
