Cadzand marina is the setting for star chef Sergio Herman’s beach brasserie. A modern, purpose-built building offers clean lines, a hip dining room (polished wooden surf boards on the walls, open kitchen, black spotlights) and front-row sunset views. The menu sees Herman return to his father’s roots: Zeeland fish and shellfish are prepared to time-honoured recipes in a wood-fired oven or on the charcoal grill. The more casual AIRcafe, on the same site, serves the likes of croque monsieur and pistolet (a small, round bread roll) with grey prawns, available to eat in or take away.
