Eatanic Garden at Josun Palace
Seoul, South Korea
- No.25 Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025
- Highest New Entry Award 2025
To non-Korean speakers, the nuance of this Seoul restaurant’s name may be lost in translation. Pronounced in its native tongue, both “eatanic garden” and “botanic garden” sound identical, so this restaurant embraces the homophony to create an urban oasis from the 36th floor of the Josun Hotel. With a bird's-eye view of Seoul, Eatanic Garden places diners on an urban terrace framed by thoughtfully curated greenery, creating a space that feels inviting rather than detached. Leaning further into its nature-theme, founder and chef Son Jong-Won’s food steers clear of prescriptive menus. Instead, guests are offered an illustrated set of cards outlining of the key ingredients of every course. Korean staples, such as its hanwoo beef three-ways, served with fermented cauliflower and white winter vegetables shaped into pristine snowflakes, further enforce the idea of nature and its many wonders.
