  • No.24 The World's 50 Best Vineyards 2025

Vinous culture is celebrated in every form at Bodegas Vivanco, established in 1915 and home to a Museum of Wine Culture that spans 4,000 square metres of permanent exhibition space. Local children and oenotourists alike are encouraged to learn the craft of winemaking here in the medieval town of Briones, after exploring the Garden of Bacchus, which is home to 220 grape varieties, both international and indigenous. Also within the futuristic winery, built in 1990, is a gastrobar serving wines paired with tapas‑style dishes, as well as a restaurant catering for all occasions. The family is keen to share everything they have learned, so be sure to ask plenty of questions.
