Bodegas Granbazán
Salnés Valley, Rías Baixas, Spain
- No.86 The World's 50 Best Vineyards 2025
With its ornate façade finished with powder blue tiles, Bodegas Granbazán looks like a chic neoclassical Parisian château has been uprooted and transported to northwest Spain. Residing in the Salnés Valley, one of the jewels of Galicia's Rías Baixas region, the winery's Finca Tremoedo estate is a pioneer of high-end, lees-aged albariños and its wines bear the distinctive saline hallmark of the region with their alluring mix of stone fruit and a lick of salt. Producing no less than seven different albariños, including a traditional method sparkling and a French oak-aged expression, you can sip your way through the range during a tour and tasting then try traditional Galician dishes, such as octopus with a squid ink risotto, 'cocido' (a hearty stew) and a decadent almond tart at the bodega's in-house restaurant.
