The restaurant and 11 boutique guestrooms and suites are housed in a bewitchingly beautiful Swiss castle. Chef-owner Andreas Caminada was only 26 when he took over the remote Fürstenau landmark in 2003, which stood vacant at the time. Under the helm of Caminada, the restaurant has flourished into a space of respite that embraces its place in nature with a wood-clad interior and a menu heavy on foraging. The multi-sensory tasting menus showcase regional produce – red cabbage, pikeperch, langoustines – prepared with astonishing attention to detail and served up in sumptuous surrounds. Diners with no and low-alc preferences will also be delighted with its thoughtfully curated non-alcoholic beverage pairing.
