Singita Sasakwa

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Distinct from Singita’s classic safari lodge aesthetic, Sasakwa has been imagined as an Edwardian manor house, albeit one in the middle of the Serengeti’s 350,000-acre Singita Grumeti Reserve. Individual cottages are dressed in turn-of-the-century accoutrements, with parquet flooring, four poster beds, a mix of antiques and local artifacts, plus sprawling views of the savannah below thanks to the property's vantage point on Sasakwa Hill. Daily game drives take guests out to explore, offering the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of spotting the region's wildebeest migration to the Serengeti. Like its design, Sasakwa’s experiences also differ from the usual safari offering, with tennis courts at the lodge to bushwalks and hot air ballooning, to visits to the community, stargazing and more.
