The Man Behind the Curtain

Leeds, UK

Michael O’Hare has been pushing boundaries at the most daring fine-dining restaurant in Leeds since its opening in 2014. Creativity, theatre and art abound in his ten and 14-course tasting menus, with surprising twists and courses often served on interesting objects, such as a prawn on top of an old-fashioned telephone. O’Hare’s cuisine has global influences and dishes might include saltfish and ackee, veal sweetbreads, char siu octopus and squab pigeon with rhubarb hoi sin. A six-course menu is also available at lunchtime.
