Sichuan Garden served reliable Chinese food to the Brookline Village community from 1997 to 2017, when a sweeping remodel shifted the focus of the space to Blossom Bar. Ran Duan, award-winning bartender from The Baldwin Bar and The Baldwin & Sons Trading Co. (who is also the son of the couple who started the restaurant) helms the innovative drinks offer, which focuses on tropical flavors, including lots of rum and agave spirits. Each cocktail is meant to be an exploration of comforting flavours with unique ingredients. The abundance of refreshing drinks pair perfectly with the Sichuan cuisine, and are often presented with beautiful garnishes. With some classy mid-century modern touches and a compelling colour palette of seafoam green, gold and warm wood, the interior design was partially inspired by the minimal but whimsical details of Wes Anderson movies.
