The Catbird Seat

Nashville, US

A new chapter began for Nashville’s culinary game-changer The Catbird Seat, as it reopened in its new location atop the Bill Voorhees Building in May 2025. Having broken boundaries since 2011 in its previous spot a short stroll away, this new larger space reveals even more ambitious heights, including an intimate wine lounge. The U-shaped counter makes a strong return (this time in Tennessee pink marble), ensuring all eyes stay on the performance occurring in the open kitchen at the centre. And what a performance it is. Husband and wife chef duo Andy Doubrava and Tiffani Ortiz, who gained recognition with their nomadic series, Slow Burn, bring their 15-course tasting menu, which is equally obsessed with creating a sense of place. Expect playful plates using wild, locally foraged ingredients (juniper, cedar and cypress) against a soundtrack that makes for a fun party vibe.
