A taste of France awaits in Californian wine country at this ivy‑clad château, founded in 1972 as an ode to French style – and French wines. World‑class Cabernet Sauvignons and Chardonnays inspired by Bordeaux and, later, Burgundy are made on the 485‑hectare estate, which you can explore via Mercedes before sitting down to wine‑and‑food pairings in the vineyards or the library. A 'Paris on the Terrace' experience evokes Parisian bistros with music, cosy tables and wines accompanied by bread, charcuterie and the estate's own olive oil. Three sophisticated suites host guests overnight, surrounded by antiques from the Louis XIII, XV and XVI eras, whilst the hillside Wildwood cottage offers a moment of isolation among the oak trees.
