Press

St Helena, US

As one of America’s premier wine regions, the Napa Valley has long attracted great culinary talent, and Press shines a light on the beautiful bounty that the region has to offer. Unsurprisingly, the restaurant’s biggest showstopper is its extensive wine collection. Some have said it’s the world’s largest collection of Napa bottlings with a menu that spans over 200 pages and around 2,700 bottles, including vintages that date back to the 1950s. Given its prime real estate on the St. Helena highway, too, it's not uncommon to find local winemakers rubbing elbows in the dining room on any given night, and menus are built around ingredients grown locally every season. Immaculate plates artistically arranged might include white asparagus, daikon radish and Marcona almonds or caviar pretzel with cultured yoghurt butter and golden white sturgeon caviar, a poached lobster or American wagyu, all presented with whimsical garnishes to stimulate the senses.
