Considering its alumni, one might wonder if The French Laundry is a restaurant or a chef training academy. Thomas Keller’s flagship has been one of the most difficult bookings in America for 25 years, thanks to impossibly perfect French technique and the pristine local ingredients making up his marathon tasting menus.
