A marble- and graffiti-clad bar dedicated to cocktails inspired by a love of Japan, tucked away on the fifth floor of a District 1 high rise (with views to match). Pull up one of the blue-velvet bar stools, sit back and enjoy watching the bartenders go about their quotidian rhythm as you contemplate your poison. There’s no menu per se, they work to rolling specials and are happy customise something exciting and delicious just for you. One-of-a-kind libations might see Roku gin combined with macha, yuzu, genmaicha – a green tea combined with roasted brown rice – and almond to elegant and dazzling effect, served with a side of miso edamame (all bar snacks follow a similarly tasty theme). There’s also some interesting upgrades to the classics, like a Ryu Moscow Mule that features green rice and calamansi, plus a host of Japanese spirits to play with including rare whiskies.
