Grand Park Hotel Rovinj

Rovinj

An architectural jewel on the Adriatic Coast

What's the story? The stunning Grand Park Hotel Rovinj sits along a promenade overlooking the picturesque old town, the sea and St. Catherine's Island. It perfectly embodies a harmonious blend of contemporary architecture, luxury and the surrounding natural beauty. Opened in April 2019, the hotel features 209 elegant accommodations – 193 rooms and 16 suites – spread across six cascading floors with breathtaking panoramic views.

And the designer? The hotel was designed by the renowned Croatian architectural studio 3LHD, with interiors by world-acclaimed designer Piero Lissoni of Lissoni Architettura in Milan. The building is seamlessly integrated into its natural surroundings, featuring undulating terraces, green roofs and preserved century-old pines that extend the forested landscape. Shared facilities – including restaurants, a spa and a conference hall with the largest glass façade in Europe – are located on the upper floors, while the guest rooms on the lower levels are discreetly oriented toward the sea. Inside, the hotel exudes modern minimalism, enriched with warm tones of stone, wood, and neutral colours. Carefully curated artworks and refined details add layers of sophistication, creating interiors that balance sleek contemporary style with understated warmth.

The ultimate sanctuary: Spanning thousands of metres across two floors, this luxurious wellness centre features three pools (two outdoors), multiple saunas and relaxation zones with sweeping views of Rovinj and the Adriatic. A particular highlight is the 50-metre outdoor infinity pool, ideal for unwinding while taking in the scenery.

On the menu: Grand Park Hotel Rovinj stands out as one of Croatia's premier gourmet destinations. The hotel is home to seven restaurants and bars, including the Cap Aureo Signature Restaurant on the fifth floor, where floor-to-ceiling glass walls frame stunning views of the sea and nearby islands. Its Michelin-starred cuisine highlights local ingredients through a contemporary lens of Mediterranean flavours. Agli Amici Rovinj, recommended by 50 Best Discovery and the first restaurant in Croatia to earn two Michelin stars under chef Emanuele Scarello, offers a refined fine dining experience inspired by Italian culinary tradition. Equally noteworthy is the Viva Eufemia Lobby Bar, renowned for its exceptional cocktails. For a more relaxed atmosphere, guests can also enjoy the poolside restaurants and bars, serving light bites, Istrian specialties and refreshing cocktails – ideal for all-day indulgence.

Out and about: The town of Rovinj, on the western coast of Istria, is one of the most romantic and photographed destinations on the Adriatic. Its narrow stone streets, colourful houses and historic heart crowned by St. Euphemia's Church create a unique atmosphere that has long attracted artists, culture lovers and hedonists alike.
