Plating up contemporary cuisine inspired by Colombia's regional biodiversity, Colombian-American duo Carmen Angel and Rob Pevitts have spearheaded a growing gastronomic surge in Medellín. Their restaurant’s three distinctive seating areas – an airy bar with soaring rafters, a verdant conservatory and a leafy tropical courtyard space – make this a lush oasis in the heart of the city.

The experimental menu plays with Colombian produce: think blue crab and shrimp with a soursop relish and vanilla bean aioli, a curl of octopus over black garlic polenta with a pistachio mole, sweetly glazed bondiola beside corn gnocchi bathed in local cheese and – for dessert – a tonka bean-infused buffalo crème fraîche cake.
