Part restaurant, part gallery, Dulce Patria serves dishes so colourful and creative they could be considered works of art. Located inside the luxury Las Alcobas hotel in upmarket Polanco, the restaurant focuses on vibrant haute Mexican cuisine with dishes like pink mole, soft-shell crab and seafood stew.
Dulce Patria is the brainchild of chef Martha Ortiz, a judge on Top Chef Mexico who also opened London restaurant Ella Canta in 2017. Her mother, Mexican painter Martha Chapa, is also a prominent food writer. Expect a fun atmosphere, plenty of theatre, explosions of colour and many a quirky dish.
