Elegant plates are order of the day at this Punta del Este restaurant. Two seven-course menus offer a seafood-focused experience or a journey through the peninsula’s larder, from top-notch Atlantic seafood, to seasonal mushrooms, wild herbs and Uruguayan beef. Menu highlights from chef Elsa Curbelo and her daughter María Elena Marfetán include black-crab ravioli, orange-scented shrimp risotto and blushing steaks with a fiery homemade chimichurri.

The cosy space, which boasts views of Gorriti Island and Mansa Beach Bay, was opened in 1993 by the Marfetán family and draws a devoted crowd each season seeking an authentic, homely ambience with warm service.
